Dear Spartan,

Spartan Athletics has achieved remarkable success in 2024-25. We captured Big Ten titles in men's basketball and hockey in the same year for the first time in conference history, while our women's soccer team reached the Round of 16 for the second-straight season. On top of that, both gymnastics and women's golf reached the NCAA Championships during their respective seasons. Our student-athletes also posted the highest cumulative GPA of 3.4716 in department history for the second consecutive semester. These victories are not possible without your support!

We are poised to build upon these achievements both on the field and in the classroom, as well as within our Spartan community. Looking ahead, it is crucial we direct our focus towards areas of greatest need and that provide operational flexibility, allowing for continued competitive excellence across all sports. Doing so positions us for success now and into the future.

Go Green!

Student-Athlete Experience

At Michigan State, preparing our student-athletes for their life's pursuit beyond competition, is at the heart of all that we do. With a mindset that “Champions are built on a thousand invisible mornings” (Kirk Cousins), our student-athletes become the best versions of themselves through academic support, training and wellness, as well as personal development, on their path to become future leaders.

As a student-athlete at Michigan State, I've learned the value of hard work and dedication on and off the field. The support from donors to Spartan Fund has made a huge difference in my life, allowing me to focus on my studies and baseball without financial stress. I'm grateful for their generosity, which helps us pursue our dreams.

Health, safety and wellness

Championship-level performance on the field is a reflection of the preparation of the mind and body off the field.

Through strength and conditioning, mental health and psychology, and nutrition and recovery, our student-athletes can achieve optimal mind and body performance.

Personal and professional development

A majority of our student-athletes will leave MSU to embark on careers outside of athletics. Through financial literacy, diversity and inclusion efforts, leadership training, and career exploration, our student-athletes are learning how to be professionals on their chosen path to success.

Why Donate to Spartan Fund?

Your support impacts the daily lives of nearly 700 Spartan student-athletes - providing them opportunities to pursue excellence in the classroom and in competition, all while preparing them for life beyond their time at MSU.

Together, we will continue to achieve excellence and make a far better world for past, current, and future Spartans.
